2.2 Daytime Travel, Minimum Requirements
Tips on Mounting Reflective Tape
Reflective tape generally comes in 50 mm (2 in.) wide rolls or strips. Mount the tape on a facing that is wider than 50 mm (2 in.) so that tape edges won’t catch other objects (clothing, branches, etc.), and lift at the corners and edges.
On some implements’ extensions it will be necessary to position warning lamps within 400 mm (16 in.) of equipment extremities (as described in Section 2.3 of this guide). These extensions can be ideal locations for mounting reflective tape, provided the extension is wide enough to accommodate the tape, and the reflector is clearly visible to the driver in an approaching vehicle.
